Woody Harrelson and Frankie Hyman's comedy Bullet for Adolf has extended its run at off-Broadway's New World Stages. The show will now run through October 21, instead of the previously announced September 9 end date. Directed by Harrelson, the production opened on August 8.
Bullet For Adolf is set during the summer of 1983. In the sweltering heat of Houston an unlikely friendship is formed as a couple of Mid-western rubes, with uncertain futures, meet up with a slick New Yorker on the run from his past. The disappearance of a WWII artifact sets off a chain of events that proves that nothing changes the present like a blast from the past. The play features two characters based on Harrelson and Hyman, as well as other people they knew, though the events depicted are fiction and the names have been changed to protect the not-so-innocent.
The cast features Marsha Stephanie Blake, Shamika Cotton, Nick Wyman, Lee Osorio, Brandon Coffey, David Coomber, Shannon Garland and Tyler Jacob Rollinson.
